If you’ve read “Our BBQ Story” on this website, than you know that I have this one little ambition, to fully define and create a BBQ in Central PA to be reckoned with…
Now, we’re not in Texas. We’re not in North Carolina. We’re not even in Missouri, but I think we can do it. And I think one way (bear with me, not the only way) we’re going to do it is by having desserts! Can you think of anything more Pennsylvania than Diner Pies? I love me a diner pie.
Josh is the best pie maker in the world, except for his mom, who taught him how to make pie. But I often feel motivated to make my own pie crust and try different pies. (Have you seen the movie Waitress? Like that but without all the personal drama!). So I’m trying my hand at making my best Joy of Cooking pie crust and trying different fun fillings.
They’re pretty good, I think. But you know what’s the coolest thing about the pies on our menu? You get your own pie. A whole pie! I mean, it’s only a 5 3/4″ pie, but still! It’s all yours. Your very own pie. You could
share it, but you don’t have to share it! Total freedom, people. That’s what we believe in!
Alright, now we’re still perfecting our pies, but here’s a little preview of our Lemon Chess Pie. I can tell you that it is very, very good. You should get one this Friday and/or Saturday at LeRoy Infamous UpTexas BBQ.
